BLKWHT1 (Custom)

58 Gretsch - 14x20bd/8x12 tom/14x14ft and 5.5x14 matching finish sanre drum. The drums were bought new in 1960 right here in Nanaimo BC by the former owner's father.  He never played them much over the years. She inherited them when he died in 2005.

They were stored and neglected with some damage (front bd hoop got wood rot and some of the finish was lifting).  The microsensitive strainer was missing - the butt end was still on the snare.  One ft leg was missing and all the front bd t-rods and claws were missing.  I got the parts on eBay and fixed the finish - it was a very small job on the rack tom.  The finish was just dirty - it's in very good shape.  I custom fitted the unglued wood flesh-hoops to all the drums and tucked calfhide heads.
