Holy Sh*t! That is a massive crack. could you cut the bell out and use that as a bell? Or is it too small.

It looks like I would be able to do that, by looking at the picture, but the cymbal is pretty thin. Believe it or not, it still sounds ok when I use it now. LMAO!

Well use it until it breaks then, but you could go all out and just reinforce the join with more metal haha

I dunno what you like in a splash, but I bought a 10" Paiste PST 5 for under $45 a few years back.  PST5 is not a premium line - it's a B8 sheet bronze cymbal, but they are some of the best sheet bronze cymbals I've heard and I really like that splash about as much as any of the much more expensive B20 ones I tried.  Try it - maybe you'll like it!
......I agree with Jean......<lol>

Actually my buddy has a whole set of PST's, including that same 10" splash, and I'm impressed with the sound.

Well my cymbal collection is the Paiste 201s, which they don't make anymore and they sound amazing! Well the Hi-hats sound heavy but I have changed those. But otherwise I have always gotten compliments about them since day one!

I found a used Sabian 8" AA for $50, which the guy says has never been used, and a 10" AA for $70. I just might get both of them.

I just picked up the 8" for $30. I'm going to get another B75 boom arm, and then pick up a 10" too.

I'm a old time classic rock guy and can't understand how a 10" or smaller  "splash" cymbal is of any use.  I know...to each his own, I got a 10" with my AA set and was planning on replacing it with a 12", but my son wants it, so it stays, I don't use it.  I am looking for a 12" XS20 medium thin because it sounds like a cymbal, to me 10" and smaller don't sound like a cymbal.  I am however sorry for your loss Mikey!
